You will
- Be responsible for manual quality assurance tests on our web platform.
- Perform rigorous test scenarios to ensure thorough validation.
- Use exploratory testing to validate usability and uncover unexpected outcomes.
- Generate clear, actionable bug reports for the engineering teams.
- Support engineering teams in reproducing and debugging issues you’ve found.
- Update the team on progress, risks, and challenges in testing and QA activities.
- Ensure best-in-class quality of our tax automation and optimization services.
- Identify quality issues and see them through to resolution.
- Validate that the application UI matches designs from the Product team.
- Use tools to monitor for unexpected visual changes.
- Consider user experience, happy paths, negative testing, edge cases, and browser compatibility.
- Be available within core UK/Europe business hours to liaise with the R&D team.
We are looking for someone who has
- 7+ years of experience in manual web testing.
- A university degree or comparable professional qualification in Computer Science, IT, or Software Testing.
- Experience designing, implementing, and executing test plans and test cases.
- The ability to understand system architecture and apply that knowledge to white-box testing techniques.
- Creative, flexible, and dynamic approaches to testing.
- Broad knowledge of software testing best practices and experience applying them in CI/CD environments.
- Working understanding of REST APIs and how to test them.
- An understanding of usability and user experience principles.
- Strengths in working independently, managing workload, and setting priorities.
- Proven ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Clear reporting skills.
- Full professional English proficiency (spoken and written).
